Top News and Magazines Apps Performance in Portugal Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top five News and Magazines applications on the unified platform in Portugal showed varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $5.9K in early March. Weekly downloads were highest at 6.8K in early February, with a steady decline to 5.2K by the end of March. Active users saw a decrease from approximately 808K to 712K over the quarter.

Notícias ao Minuto Portugal by New adVentures maintained consistent weekly downloads, starting at 1.9K and ending slightly lower at 1.6K. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 21K and 23K.

SAPO from MEO showed a decline in downloads from 1.5K at the beginning of the quarter to just over 400 by the end of March. No active user data was available.

Lotarias – Portugal Lottery had an interesting revenue spike to $62 in mid-March, with downloads starting at 3.4K and falling to 241 by the end of the quarter.

Substack by Substack Inc. had a modest revenue increase to $118 at the end of March. Downloads varied, ending at 1.4K, while active users increased from 11K to 13K.
